Keishu Takeuchi was a student of the great Meiji ukiyo-e artist Yoshitoshi Tsukioka. Typical for the period of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, Keishu Takeuchi worked as an illustrator making mainly kuchi-e - frontispiece illustrations for magazines and novels. --artelino.com
